Our Master of Public Health (MPH) program at Texas A&M is more than a degree—it’s a launchpad for bold leaders ready to take on the biggest health challenges of our time. With specialized concentrations, you’ll gain the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to create lasting change in public health. Whether your passion lies in shaping policy, protecting communities, or solving health crises, this program will prepare you to make a difference locally and globally.

  • Environmental Health - Explore how environmental factors—from air quality to industrial hazards—affect public health and learn to develop innovative strategies that protect both people and the planet. Through this concentration, you’ll gain the expertise to address real-world environmental challenges and make a tangible impact on the health of communities.
  • Epidemiology  - Delve into the patterns, causes, and solutions for diseases that affect populations around the world. In this concentration, you’ll sharpen your ability to track outbreaks, control epidemics, and tackle chronic conditions using data and research. Join a movement of public health professionals dedicated to preventing illness and extending life on a global scale.
  • Health Policy and Management  - Lead the future of healthcare by learning to navigate health systems, influence policies, and manage healthcare delivery with expertise and vision. This concentration equips you to drive meaningful reforms, improve access to care, and manage health organizations effectively, ensuring better outcomes for communities and populations.
  • Health Promotion and Community Health Sciences  - Champion wellness at the community level by designing, implementing, and evaluating health programs that empower individuals and families to live healthier lives. You’ll address health disparities, promote behavioral health, and advocate for stronger, healthier communities—where real change begins.
  • Occupational Safety and Health  - Become a leader in workplace safety by learning to identify hazards, manage risks, and promote wellness in industries ranging from construction to healthcare. Through this concentration, you’ll master the principles of ergonomics, human factors, and safety regulations, helping protect workers and improve environments for current and future generations.
  • Biostatistics  - Harness the power of data to solve complex health challenges. In this concentration, you’ll develop the skills to design studies, analyze public health data, and extract insights that drive research and inform policy.
    • The MPH-Biostatistics concentration will not be admitting students starting Fall 2024.

Admission Requirements 

No GRE score required!  Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university prior to the start of the program. In addition, please note that the following concentrations enforce a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA requirement.

GPA Requirement

The following programs have a minimum cumulative GPA requirement:

  • Epidemiology: 3.0
  • Health Promotion & Community Health Sciences: 2.75
