Application Process
Applicants who are seeking admission via the MPH Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) will apply via the normal application process for any MPH applicant. For instructions on how to apply, please visit the MPH programs – How to Apply.
When completing the SOPHAS application for admission, applicants should indicate via the TAMU SPH MPH Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) section of the application that they meet the MPH GAP criteria. The TAMU SPH Graduate Admissions team will verify completion of the required coursework with a grade of B (or higher) via the official transcripts provided.
- Work Experience Requirement: Applicants will need to submit an employment verification letter from the applicant's Human Resources office indicating a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience. This document should include dates of employment and titles supporting the applicant's work experience requirement. The letter can be uploaded to application as an “other” document type or sent via email to the Texas A&M SPH Office of Student Services - Graduate Admissions at: SPH-Gradinfo@tamu.edu
- GRE Test Score: For those using the GRE test score criteria in place of work experience, have ETS send scores to SOPHAS using GRE code 7841 (Texas A&M HSC Pub Hlth SOPHAS)
If an applicant is found to not have met the TAMU SPH MPH Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP) criteria, the application will be reviewed under the standard admission review process.
