Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH)

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program is based on a philosophy of health promotion and disease prevention, to improve the quality of life of individuals, families and communities. Public health professionals with a BSPH are prepared to assess factors influencing health, and plan, evaluate and manage health programs and interventions.

Minor in Public Health

The Minor in Public Health is based on a philosophy of health promotion and disease prevention, to improve the quality of life of individuals, families and communities. Students receive an introduction to the foundational and social issues of public health, threats to public health and the role that our environment affects both the practice and applications of public health.

Minor in Occupational Safety and Health

Students in the Occupational Safety and Health minor will gain a basic understanding of public health practices to address the risks at various workplaces and how to prevent injuries and fatalities.

Minor in Health Behavior

The Health Behavior minor is designed for students who want to develop knowledge in health-related topics and engage in courses which complement or enhance the myriad of degree programs available at Texas A&M University. The majority of the courses for this minor are available online. Two courses in the health minor meet the International and Cultural Diversity requirements for core curriculum and one course meets the Cultural Discourse requirement.
